When Columbus Day Party rolls around, you might want to get out the barbeque and have a get-together with friends and family. Or, you can stay indoors for an inside luncheon. Printable games and other activities will provide the Columbus Day guests with a variety of activities guaranteeing them of a great time.

As the host is looking for the perfect Columbus Day party supplies and invitations they may want to find a few great party games for the party. You can find some printable word games when searching for Columbus Day Party Supplies over the internet. You may run across Crytopgrams, word searches, word tiles, which is a lot like Scrabble, and Fallen Phrase, which is something like a crossword puzzle.

Fun Columbus Day Cryptogram

Cryptograms are great fun, because they can be custom made for any age group that can read. If you make one yourself, you might want to design it to fit the theme of Columbus Day. Columbus Day words such as those related to Christopher Columbus and his ships will add a great deal to the puzzle.

At first, the cryptogram looks like it's going to be difficult. But when given the proper clues, your guests should be able to solve them easily. Using the clues to solve the cryptogram will help to solve the puzzle by providing clues such as parts of speech or quotes. It might be part of a song, or the title of a song or television show. The word can be whatever the host wants. Then, a code is set up so that all the letter "e's." for example, are now going to be shown as "f"s." To make a cryptogram very special it should be somehow related to the clue and each letter should clearly be substituted for another. When it is shown to your guests, it may look something like this: "Eo vu ezu vuke cop zlhu eo vule ezu vuke." This has been coded for the cryptogram, but it actually says, "To be the best you have to beat the best." Your guests will just have to solve the code.

Each guest will need a pad and a pencil. And you, as host, will need to supply the cryptograms. Additionally, the party host can write the cryptograms on an overhead, dry erase board or blackboard.

It might be a good idea to supply your guests with patriotic pencils and pads that match. This will encourage them all to play along. Additionally, having a variety of prizes or party favors for the winners of the games will have everyone involved in the action.
