Sony has a hard time in keeping up with the other cell phone manufacturers. They have not been effective in producing sound mobile phones for years and they seek to get into the top of the cell phone deals with their more recent model called Xperia Arc.

This product is remarkable to say the very least. They have released a number of new capabilities in comparison with all the models that Sony makes. They focused on supplying the best internet connectivity that it is feasible in the present. The cell phone offers 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity. The 3G system used by Sony offers speeds of up to 7.2 mbps. This is the current standard web speed that can be used on most of the present cell phone deals that you can find on the market. I had the opportunity to test the way the cell phone performs when using 3G internet access and I have to admit that the phone works well. I had simply no difficulties in loading Youtube and seeking some hot music clips. The streaming was fantastic and I had a really good time by listening to the songs I really like.

The downside of using the 3G connectivity is that it will deplete your battery pack very fast. You will end up with no battery in about an hour of usage. If you want to get over this issue you must use the Wi-fi connection. To use it you have to be located in a spot that has coverage and you must know the credentials of the internet service provider. In many countries you can find free hotspots that do not call for any type of credentials to use the web connection.

After connecting to the hotspot you will need to wait for one or two seconds. The mobile phone runs some software applications in the background in order to sync with the connection. When it is prepared you will be able to use the world-wide-web.

The website browser used by Xperia Arc is not a usual one. If you are not accustomed to it and you do not like it, you can download another one from the Android market. You can actually choose from all the well-liked browsers like Chrome, Opera and others.

For those that use the cellphone for internet activity this is an excellent mobile phone. I would not choose another mobile phone for web browsing since the performances are good and the cost is decent. The more fancier models will make you spend a lot of cash.
