One of the key factors that you must analyze when you're looking into the wind turbine kit concept is the speed at which the wind blows where you're looking to locate a piece of equipment. There are several aspects of wind vectors that need to be calculated in to your equation though.

The future of this technology depends on lighter materials and our ability to make power from super low wind conditions. This is where a lot of the residential wind turbine research and development money being spent now. If we can take care of when situations less than 1 mph average, then the number of places in this country where wind power can be a significant factor will increase dramatically.
