You can have a great Groundhog Day party, when you add games to the occasion. Whether the party takes place in the classroom or home, Groundhog day party supplies and invitations can easily be celebrated by throwing a fun party with numerous party games, decorations, and party favors.
Silhouette Making. The groundhog emerges from its hole to determine whether or not winter will continue for six more weeks by seeing its shadow. In a fun game, have party guests create their very own shadow silhouettes by sitting in a chair with a large piece of paper on the wall. Shine a light on the party guests and a shadow will be created on the wall. Another party guests traces the outline of the party guests sitting in the chair. Groundhog Bean Bag Toss. Cut several holes in a piece of cardboard, plywood, or a piece of wood. Similar to basketball, when holes are cut out of the board, the bean bags can be tossed in from a distance away. Top hats are commonly worn at the Groundhog day ceremony, therefore, placing several top hats on the floor and tossing brown bean bags at the hats is an easy substitute.
Balloon Bust. It's time to find that sneaky groundhog again! Place a small piece of paper with an image of a groundhog on it. The player who can pop the balloon with the groundhog image inside is the winner. Place a couple dozen balloons on the floor and let the party guests have at it.
