It leads off with an authentic analysis of what you need, what you have and what possibilities are made available to you. Here is a series of questions to ask yourself. Don't trip out if it takes some time to realize the answers, the end result will be worth it.
* What is it you wish to do? What is significant to you, what is it you like to do and what kind of business or work from home opportunity do you foresee you would be pleased by? Make a list of the things you desire to do. And do not worry if they're marketable right now as a business idea or a work from home position; instead just emphasize what you are enthusiastic about.
* What are your skills and strong points? We all have talents and assets we're either born with or we've nourished over our existence. Make an outline of the things you're good at. Just like the procedure you just did, don't conclude whether it's marketable or not. Just make a nice lengthy listing of all of your talents.
* What are your weak points? Do not put in excessive time on this but realize what you are not good at when you're thinkinging about potential business opportunities. For example, if you are looking at direct sales but are genuinely uncomfortable approaching groups of people, this probably would not be the best opportunity for you.
* Who do you know? Before you make any conclusions, look at who you know and how they might be able to help you. If you know folks who have started their own business, get in touch with them for help. If you have relationships with people who telecommute or have a work from home opportunity, talk to them.
And finally, dream up your future and then take your first step toward the life you wish, a life where you can work from home and be there for your spouse and children when they need you.
